STORAGE

Please store in a cool dry storage area away from Heat and direct sunlight is required.

Keep away from overhead lamps, which cause heat and rapid polymerization of the adhesive.I highly recommend for best results that they use plastic Dappen dish containers or in very hot conditions to use a glass Dappen dish – (Lash tinting dish) We do not recommend that the user uses Jade stones or glass stones to dispense adhesive onto as this will dry more quickly and also could become contaminated by dust particles in the air or from heat (hair dryers) – air con – etc. Some technicians will also apply a strip of tape onto the Jade stone or glass stone to keep the stones clean. They will then dispense the adhesive onto the tape. This is NOT advised as the tape will absorb elements from the adhesive and will result in poor application and dry the exposed adhesive too quickly

HUMIDITY

Cyanoacrylate adhesives polymerize, respectively cure by the catalytic activity between the humidity in the air and the humidity of the adherents. The higher the relative humidity is (e.g. in a room) the faster the product dries. Best atmospheric conditions for good, reliable bonds are between 40 to 70 % relative humidity. 55% – 60% is perfect. If humidity is too low (< 30%) setting time can become very slow; if humidity is too high (>80%) a so-called shock polymerization takes place. The latter provokes a certain shrinking process of the adhesive layer, which leads to less bond strength. Choosing a thicker or slower adhesive to help prevent this, but will meet the required setting times IMPORTANT NOTICE: do not rely on local humidity as rooms can be very different example a cool basement may be very different to a top floor working environment

Perfect Humidity Is 55-60% Our Adhesives Range From 40%-70%

TEMPERATURE

The optimal room temperature for curing of these adhesives is between 68 degrees. The change in viscosity at different temperatures has to be taken into account. The lower the room temperature gets, the higher the viscosity increases and vice versa. This can be of great importance when there are difficult applications IMPORTANT NOTICE: Rooms can be very different example a cool basement may be very different to a top floor working environment or a room with large or many windows

*VISCOSITY “RESISTANCE TO FLOW” IN TERMS OF ADHESIVES

  • High = Very thick
  • Medium = Thicker than water
  • Low = Water like
